Illuminated Globes

Illuminated globes add an extra level of magic to the ball as it lights up the room with a soft natural light. These globes make fantastic learning resources no matter what the time of day as the globe lamp lights up the map allowing you to continue exploring deep into the night or simply easier viewing in dark rooms. For young eager explorers these could also be used as a night light, giving off a soft comforting glow from the earth within bedrooms.

A special few illuminated globes have an additional feature called Dual Mapping. This is where two versions of map can be displayed on the map through turning the globe light on or off. These globes are the Livingston, Bradley Blue Illuminated, Dresden and Globe 4 Kids. Printed on the underside of the ball is more map detail which is hidden beneath the globe surface when the lamp is off. This can be seen on the Globe 4 Kids where even more illustrations become discoverable when the light is turned on allowing children to see animals and creatures below the surface of the water, and the tectonic plates around the world and land masses.
