About The Globe

The Explorer Kids Globe has striking colours and distinctive political boundary markings that will invite students and travel enthusiasts to explore one of our most popular world globes. This desk globe has a 12" (30cm) diameter globe ball and is ideal for home, school or office use.

The globe itself is part of the World Nation series from Replogle World Globes. The map shows up-to-date cartography by Kevin M Dzurny, and has clear political boundaries with over 4,000 place names. It also features raised relief, revealing the world's main mountain ranges in a tactile way. The cartographer has depicted ocean depths by use of different shades of blue colouring and ocean currents are clearly shown with arrows. The base and graduated meridian are made of metal with a gold painted finish, offering a vibrant contrast to the blue ocean globe. This globe also features a time dial so that time zones can be calculated.

This desktop globe is made using traditional techniques with recycled and recyclable materials. It comes fully assembled and complete with a booklet on how to use, enjoy and care for your globe. This globe is made in Corby, Northamptonshire, in the heart of the UK.
